Gerry truly believes that for a real estate transaction to be successful it must maintain those two important core pieces. Establishing trust from the very beginning of the relationship is most important to Gerry and like any relationship it is sometimes the hardest. Once trust is established clients will return to you again and again. There is no limit to any relationship that is built off of integrity and trust and Gerry’s repeat clients are living proof of these morals. He also believes that his passion and success comes from just “truly liking people” as a whole.
Gerry discovered early on that he was a “people person” while working in restaurants as a teenager in the Bronx. He was able to connect the restaurant business and customer service industry to help build a successful real estate career. He always felt the pull of real estate for as long as he can remember and after a brief journey in finance at KPMG, he dove headfirst into the industry. Gerry built a commercial real estate business from the ground up over the course of eight years and spent time training new agents in Westchester and Connecticut. Eventually, he found the work to be too corporate and uncreative and had the inner desire to keep striving for more within the real estate field.
His childhood best friend Gino Bello had been asking him to team up to form their own real estate business and the timing finally ended upright. “I got Gino his first job in a restaurant when he was 14 and he got me the job that’s become my career and life’s passion.”
As much as he loves making his clients happy, Gerry’s biggest challenge is on occasion telling someone NOT to buy a house. In such instances, “we lose more than we make, but that goes with the territory.” This is the byproduct of the unshakeable integrity that is at the core of the business which he built from scratch with his buddy from the Bronx. “It can’t be about the paycheck, you really need to have your client’s best interest at heart.” As for Gerry’s interests, he adores his little niece and loves cars. “I’m a Mustang fanatic.” Lucky for his clients, Gerry remains a fan of people too. He is the agent they turn to time and time again for superior industry know-how, skill and an unwavering commitment to a trustworthy working relationship.
